ADIGHIOGU, Chiadi Anselm

Mr. Chiadi Anselm Adighiogu was appointed Acting Secretary, National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, with effect from 9th September 2024.  Prior to his appointment, he was the Director Compensation Department of the Commission. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Applied Statistics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and an MBA degree in Business Administration with specialisation in Financial Management Technology from Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

He joined the Commission as a Compensation Officer II on Grade Level 08 in December 1996, rose through the ranks and promoted to Director (Compensation) on Grade Level 17 in January 2023.

He has over 27 years experience in compensation management and has participated in the formulation and implementation of labour compensation policies and guidelines in the Nigerian Public Service. 

He has participated in collective bargaining, conciliations and negotiations between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Labour Unions on salaries, wages, fringe benefits and conditions of service. He has served in the Secretariat of many Presidential Committees on Salaries, Allowances and Conditions of Service, the last being the 2024 Presidential Committee on National Minimum Wage.

He has prepared draft reports on implementation of International Labour Organisation Conventions and Recommendations on Workers Remuneration which are ratified by Nigeria, and attended annual International Labour Conferences in Geneva, Switzerland as part of Nigeria delegation.

He has attended many local and international trainings, studied the pay systems of many countries, and presented papers on wage administration at many retreats and workshops.

Mr. Adighiogu is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) and Nigerian Statistical Association (NSA).
