The National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission is committed to conducting its business with the highest level of integrity. This policy outlines our stance against corruption and bribery and provides guidelines for compliance with applicable laws and ethical standards.
This policy applies to all employees, stakeholders, contractors, agents and representatives of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission.
Corruption: Any form of unethical or dishonest behaviour, including bribery, extortion, fraud, embezzlement and money laundering.
Bribery: The offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of anything of value to influence the actions of an individual in a position of trust.
Employees must not engage in any form of corruption or bribery, whether directly or indirectly.
Acceptance of gifts, hospitality, or favours that may compromise objectivity or create a perception of impropriety is strictly prohibited.
No employee shall make or receive facilitation payments. Any demand for such payments should be reported immediately.
Gifts, Benefits in Kind or Hospitality:
All gifts, benefits in kind and hospitality must be reasonable, transparent, and disclosed as per the government or NSIWC’s extant policy.
Employees must promptly report any suspected or observed violations of this policy to the designated reporting channels, e.g. NSIWC ACTU Complaint Boxes, ACTU email and hotline.
Consequences of Violations:
Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action in line with extant rules and regulations. Legal action may also be taken.
