Mr Njoku Emmanuel Okechukwu, Jp is presently, an Assistant Director and Head, Press Unit. He was employed to the Commission as Chief Information Officer in August 2019 and promoted to an Assistant Director in 2022.
He started his working carrier as a News Editor in Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Radio Nigeria in 2002; he was later promoted to Controller News and thereafter to Manager News, where he was transferred to Treasure Fm, Portharcourt, one of Radio Nigeria Fm stations, to head the News and Current Affairs Section. Mr Njoku E. O. was later moved to the National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission to head the Press Unit.
Mr Njoku E.O attended Obazu Community Secondary School, Mbieri (popularly called Occogram), where he obtained his Ordinary Level Certificate. He graduated from the Abia State University, Uturu with B.A (Hons) in History and International Affairs obtained in 1997. His quest to break new grounds took him to Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna where he obtained Masters in International Affairs and Strategic Studies, MIASS.
Emma Njoku, as he fondly called by his peers and contemporaries is a Diplomat and Historian, a Fellow of Historical Society of Nigeria (FHSN). A trained Media Relations Practitioner, a Broadcaster and Journalist, trained in National Broadcasting Academy. He attended The World Bank Institute and African Capacity building Foundation Workshop on ‘’ Nigeria Economic and Development Journalism Programme’’.
He is the quintessence of the virtue in hard work, personal integrity and devotion to excellence. He enjoys challenges and derives much pleasure from improving his abilities in any field he may find himself.
He was born in 7th January, 1971 in Ubomiri, Mbaitoli Local Government, Imo State. He is married with children.
