NSIWC, JAMB to Set Up Working Committee to Review Staff Welfare Requests
The National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC) says the Commission always look at the genuineness and realistic nature of requests from Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDA) and juxtapose it with the economic realities, in arriving at a decision.
The Chairman of the Commission, Major General Janaidu S. Bindawa (Rtd) PhD, Fdc +, stated this when the management staff of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) led by its Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman.
The NSIWC Boss noted that when one is saddled with a position, there is the tendency to make positive contributions by improving the well- being of the staff. He also noted that certain approval has been given to the Board, but like Oliver Twist they are asking for more.
In his remark, The JAMB Registrar Prof. Segun Aina thanked the Commission for approving a certain percentage and now the Board is asking for the additional percentage.
Responding, the NSIWC Chairman said a Working Committee will be set up between the NSIWC and JAMB to assess the requests of the Board for a possible meeting point.
